Online Grammar Meets Mix-a-Lot

If you have ever been frustrated by a. gross online grammar, b. improper apostrophe use, or c. people who type LiKe ThiS, then you should probably watch this video.

Even more importantly, if you think the previous sentence could use a little less punctuation and a little more caps lock, then you need to watch it. Please. It will make the lives of everyone you encounter much more pleasant and much less grammatically frustrating.

  1. Well, I probably should have picked a more recent post to comment on (for the Comment Blitz).. but I just couldn’t resist. This video is HYSTERICAL (yup.. screaming at the top of my lungs…). Thank you so much for introducing me to Sister Salad. I must admit.. I had to go put it up on MY blog too. But.. I did give you a link-back. :-)

Poor grammar drives me nuts. It really can’t be that difficult to learn the difference between their/they’re/there or your/you’re. I will admit to using abbreviations though. I’ve been accused of overusing LOL and LMAO and CYA. It is just too darned easy. But I draw the line at adding z’s to the end of words.

I have noticed that sometimes poor grammar is simply a regional dialect (doesn’t make it any more annoying). I have many many friends who see nothing wrong with saying “I seen her”. Of course.. my use of “yall” and “all yall” probably drives them completely bonkers too. :-)
