1. This is in support of the Internet Blackout, “to protest against the Guilt Upon Accusation law Section 92A that calls for internet disconnection based on accusations of copyright infringement without a trial and without any evidence held up to court scrutiny. This is due to come into effect on February 28th unless immediate action is taken by the National Party.” While the law in question affects New Zealand, I think that saying someone has done something is the same as them being guilty of it is problematic regardless of where it happens – and everything is closer when it happens on the Internet.
2. This will probably only be applicable to anyone who watched PBS in the early 90s, but the Carmen Sandiego Sing-a-Long made my morning. It takes a few minutes to load (and plays automatically), but what it lacks in speed (and aesthetics) it makes up for in awesome. Number of listens: 6 11.
Holy shit, I LOVED Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego! As a nerdy elementary school kid I had my own giant atlas in front of me when they played that game where they had to put the markers on the countries. Oh, memories…
I also feel compelled to say that I own the Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego (1996) computer game *blush*
I had that too! It was still on my computer in the embarrassingly recent past. And the Chief videos were awesome. Though you gotta wonder about a criminal who spouts lines of poetry.
